Durante los ‘90s muchas bandas de death metal han evolucionado y han adoptado influencias de otros estilos (Fear Factory y lo tecnológico, Morgoth y lo industrial, Tiamat y lo etéreo, Crematory lo gótico…), pero sin embargo otras bandas siguen el mismo camino que iniciaron hace ya algunos años. La veterana banda alemana Obscenity aún toca death de la manera que siempre se ha tocado.

Después de su exitoso tercer trabajo “The 3rd Chapter”, ahora los obscenos deathmetaleros sacan su nuevo álbum “Human Barbecue”, un álbum grabado, ingenierado (Se dice así?), mezclado y materizado por Andreas Schulz de los Soundgarden Tonstudio (de su misma ciudad Oldenburg) y contiene su famosa ya canción-hit “Human Barbecue” junto a otros buenos trallazos como “Lycanthropy”, “Dress Of Skin” o la sorpresa final del CD: una fantástica versión de una de las canciones más aclamadas de los dioses Slayer: “Raining Blood”. Eso sí que es jugar sobre seguro… En definitiva, un fantástico nuevo álbum de la (probablemente) mejor banda de death metal de Alemania.

Throughout the ‘90s many death metal bands have evolutionated and have adopted other syles’ influences (Fear Factory technology, Morgoth industrial, Tiamat mystical, Crematory gothic…) but yet there are some bands who follow the same path they began a couple of years ago. Veteran German band Obscenity still delivers death metal the way they have always played it.

After their succesful third work “The 3rd Chapter”, now the obscene deathmetallers release their new album “Human Barbecue”, an album recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered by Andreas Schulz at Soundgarden Tonstudio (in their hometown Oldenburg) and that contains their hit song “Human Barbecue” along with other stunning songs such as “Lycanthropy”, “Dress Of Skin” or the CD’s final surprise: an awesome cover of one of Slayer’s most acclaimed creations: “Raining Blood”. a fantastic new album that shows the masterdom of (probably) Germany’s best death metal band.
